Cleveland Clinic called and moved my start date to Thursday 8-7. They said they do not have my plan ready yet.

So I have been looking for articles on the face mask that I have to wear for my treatments. So I could post a couple pictures. BIG MISTAKE!

I found many articles all depressing, talking about the restriction of the mask and how uncomfortable it was. Many People say it was only by praying they survived! So I am posting a couple pictures, the only difference my mask is all enclosed.

Due to the aggressiveness of the tumor they will be starting my treatments on 8-4-08 through 9-12-08. That is 5days a week for 6 weeks!

Ok-I am totally Cereal-The picture is of a couch that came from Terry's mom. It is obviously dated but never used. It is approximately 37 years old. The nice thing about it is the fact that it is is hide-a-bed. I dont know if it should remain part of my decor or go to the curb? Help me.................

In other news, I had my first Radiation visit yesterday. All in all the visit was painless. They fitted me for my radiation mask which is very tight and bloodwork and a Ct Scan. Cindy was kind enough to take me and Ellen rode along. We ll arrived home in one piece-so good job Cindy!

Follow up at Cleveland

I went to the Doctors today and all was going very well until we got back the films from my MRI. That stupid tumor decided to grow since my surgery! so that left us with one choice-radiation, I will be attending radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks. I will know all the details this coming week. Please continue to pray.

Your Cousins

The boys calling it a day on the couch in the TV room!! We cover everything as you can see, so we can change them a couple times a week.

Honey Pie Sugar Babe Part 4

So she then proceeds to sit down my chair and start talking while she is scratching her head and picking at her nose:(
She explains to me how she had been ill and dizzy for about a year and it always would happen at home. She just couldn,t figure it out! Then one day she had a contractor over and he had to call 911 for her. Tou inow they had a wand you could run over my body and here it was CARBONBINOXIDE poisoning. Well they had to search her home to find what was leaking and here it was her stove!
She loved that stove, oh lord, she hated to get rid of it! best stove she ever had:( Kenmore, from Sears, bought in 1988, I miss that stove;{

Honey pie sugarbabe part3

so after coming back into my room she explaied to me that she needed to go back to the nurses station to get a bigger cuff?????????????
she returned still huffing plopped her but in my bed and then said ok honey pie sugar babe now I am going to have you take my blood pressure!!!! Talk about role reversal, I was there first hand! Only Sherrie. Believe it or not there is more to come:>}

And as a side note I gave my testimony and sang at church today:) They are making me a copy, if you are interested in a copy let me know, and just don't be nice!!!!

Honey Pie Sugar Babe Part 2

Soooooooo, she came back with all her equipment, I am here to take your vitals honey pie sugar babe, Oh they are calling me, I will be right back! So I sit and wait and wait and so on..........About 45 minutes later she returns holding her back and her forhead and huffing and might I add hobbling. As she approaches she says I'm sorry honey pie sugar babe! We had to take someone to the unit ya know honey pie sugar babe what I mean, the unit , they were not responded ya know honey pie sugar babe. You know Monica? That real big pregnant girl, well she was pushing that bed and I was helping and OH Lord she was a goin so fast I was running right out of my shoes, you know what I mean honey pie sugar babe, running right out of my shoes, I said Slow down Monica! I am running right out of my shoes, she wasn't slowing down, so I moved to the side of the bed. And i was thinking to myself, Well someones life was on the line, TAKE OFF THE SHOES;0

Honey Pie, Sugar Babe Part1

So I am in the hospital and having too many people doing too many things and it all becomes a routine , BUT then I meet Sherrie. Sherrie is a lady that comes in to take my vitals you know what I mean Honeypie Sugarbabe. She comes through the door looking like a squeezable lovin grandma................plops down in my chair, with a skirt, shirt, white nylons and backless tennisshoes. As I was viewing all the runs in her nylons I also notice the 4" tatooe of a rose on her leg. She was a very dramtic and over exaggerated lady! OK are you still with me Honeypie Sugarbabe? She proceeds to tell me what a hard worker she is, as she is still sitting in my chair about 15 min. She works at the Clinic, lives alone and takes care of her own yard and thats alot Honeypie Sugar babe, do you know what I mean honeypie sugarbabe? This is all being said while scratching her head, ears and picking her nose:( She then proceeds to tell me she also takes care of hr 90 year old father. you know honeypie sugarbabe they need help.
She then tells me her father has a re-occuring pitu, oh you know what i mean honeypie sugarbabe. I say pituatary tumor, hmm mmm thats it- well so far it has been B-9 ????????? You will have to be patient with me for I have worked on the colon-rectal floor for twenty some year and needed somethig different. You know what I mean Honeypie Sugarbabe , I will be back to take you vitals honrypie sugar babe!

Just a Side Note

If you are a cereal lover such as I- that means you make a bowl of cereal and milk-when the cereal is gone you pour in more to finish up the milk-and so on! When you are finished the top of your mouth is sore! If you are still with me, I would like you to know that I have found that TRIX cereal is obviosuly LACTOSE tolerant. You get a whole lot cereal for just one serving of milk!
